Course Description:
Modern Yiddish literature had its origins in the short story. This genre continues to be a popular one even today for Yiddish writers. In this class we will read a variety of short stories by different authors, including the "klasikers" as well as writers from the American side of the Atlantic. The class will be conducted in Yiddish and it is expected that participants will read in advance of the class.

Course Materials:
The instructor will provide course materials digitally to students throughout the class.
