Join us for our annual event commemorating the Jewish community of Vilna through poetry, music, and presentation. Chaired by Elliot Palevsky, the program will include a short film and discussion with scholar David Fishman on the Paper Brigade, a group of several dozen Jewish intellectuals who risked their lives to save hundreds of thousands of books and documents from destruction during the Holocaust by hiding them in the Vilna ghetto. A reception will follow the presentations.
