Fall & Spring Classes
For all adult learners curious to start learning or continue studying Yiddish, YIVO offers multiple levels of proficiency, from complete beginner to highly advanced. Select a beginner, intermediate, or advanced class at a level that is right for you. In addition, YIVO offers classes on Jewish history, literature, and culture. Enroll in seminars & electives conducted in English and seminars & electives conducted in Yiddish.
Classes are held either live, online on Zoom, or in person at YIVO in New York City. All Yiddish classes are capped at about 15 students to maintain intimate classroom environments, while English-language seminars are capped at about 20 students.
